The Odd Cast is proud to present the first in what we hope will be a series of lectures and think pieces by the noted physicist and miracle of nature made flesh, Dr Jem Spong. Little is known about this titan of logical thought and applied astrophysics save that he is the personal scientific consult to Downing Street and a celebrated baccarat player at an international level. We are deeply honoured that he has agreed to use our little pod cast to share his bleeding-edge theories about the nature of the universe.

In this inaugural lecture Dr Spong shares his thoughts on a myriad subjects including what would happen if we built a wall all the way around the Earth (and ignored the fact there’s mountains), the difficulties of travelling by Concord if you’re sitting on the wing, why digging through the middle of the whole of Earth would be hard work and teleportation: is it only possible for identical twins?
